I published an article ("Making Early Opera Sing") about the challenges to presenting Baroque opera. It appears in the winter issue of Opera America magazine. Amongst the many people I interviewed for this article were Christopher Mattaliano, general director of Portland Opera, Thomas Thomas Cirillo, executive director of the Portland Baroque Orchestra, and Gregory Ewer, violinist for the Oregon Symphony and the Portland Baroque Orchestra.
