Commentary on Kalmar/St. Louis Symphony/Powell Hall and the earthquake

Eddie Silva's St. Louis Symphony blog states that Powell Hall, home of the SLSO, survived the recent earthquake very well, and that he was very impressed with Kalmar and the SLSO in the Prokofiev. Kalmar conducted the SLSO on Thurday and Friday evening. The program featured Lutoslawski's Musique funèbre, Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 with Joseph Kalichstein, and Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5.
