Oregon Symphony concertmaster Jun Iwasaki teams up with an ensemble of friends to perform this evening at the Community Music Center. The concert features the Mendelssohn Trio in c minor, Op. 66, and the Octet for strings, Op. 20.
Colleagues from the Oreogn Symphony who will play with Iwasaki are violinists Greg Ewer and Inés Voglar, violists Joël Belgique and Charles Noble, and cellists Trevor Fitzpatrick and Adam Esbensen.
CMC Students and Alumni featured in the concert are Becky Anderson, Brandon Garbot, Boris Papadiuk, and Eloise Kim.
The performance is a benefit for the Naomi Blumberg Endowment Fund for Chamber Music Education at the Community Music Center.
The concert starts at 7:30 pm.
Suggested donations are $20 for adults and $10 for youth (6-18).
The CMC is located at 3350 SE Francis St.
