Dawn Upshaw recital - postponed until March 3rd

The Dawn Upshaw concert has been postponed until March 3rd - due to illness.

The Friends of Chamber Music is sponsoring a concert by acclaimed soprano Dawn Upshaw with pianist Gilbert Kalish at the Newmark Theatre (in downtown Portland). The recital h as now been scheduled for Tuesday, March 3rd.

Upshaw will sing the following:

Charles Ives: Songs My Mother Taught Me, Two Little Flowers, Memories, West London, Ann Street, Tom Sails Away, Down East

Fauré: L'aube blanche

Debussy: La Flûte de Pan, La chevelure

Ravel: Le cygne

Messiaen: Le collier, Prière exaucée

Golijov: Lúa Descolorida

Crumb: Apparition

Besides accompanying Upshaw, Gilbert Kalish will also play

Charles Ives: The Alcotts

Decaux: La Mer

Due to illness--presumably Ms. Upshaw's--the recital has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 3rd. Same time (7:30) and same location (Newmark Theater).
