Oregon Symphony review in American Record Guide
My review of the Oregon Symphony's concert (November 20th at the Schnitz) in which the orchestra played Mahler's 10th, Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1 with guest artist Stephen Hough, and Meyerbeer's "Coronation March" is in the current issue (March/April) of the American Record Guide on pages 33 and 34. Although this magazine is known for its reviews of recordings, it also has a hefty number of reviews of operas, orchestras, ensembles, and recital performances. I am pretty sure that Oregon Symphony recordings have been reviewed in the past, but I think that this may be the first time that the Oregon Symphony has been covered in "Concerts Everywhere" section. You can pick up a copy of the American Record Guide at Classical Millennium (3158 East Burnside Street, Portland).
