Ancient Roman trumpet-like instrument recreated

According to this report, scientist in Scotland have created a trumpet-like instrument called a lituus that the Romoan's used. Apparently, JS Bach wrote a piece for the lituus, so it must have still been in use during the Baroque period. It would be terrific if Jeffrey Work, principal trumpet with the Oreogn Symphony, could get a hold of one.
