Iranian singer killed in protests

It is not often that artists (of any caliber) die during a political protest, but Neda Salehi Agha Soltan was a victim of the Iranian crackdown. Her death was poignantly noted by Bob Kingston in his blog, dramma per musica, drawing from the news story that appeared in London Times online here. Neda Soltan was just 26 years old.

Sometimes we think we have it pretty tough here, but just imagine if you were born in another country with much more challenging circumstances.
