Arnaldo Cohen to serve on finals jury of Van Cliburn International Piano Competition

Portland Piano International's Artistic Director, Arnaldo Cohen, will be serving on the Finals Jury of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. The application deadline for participating pianists has passed. There are 290 pianists who are trying to make it to the next round of 140 on December 13th. A series of live screenings will narrow the field down to the few who make it to the competition in Fort Worth (May 25- June 10, 2017) where they will have to play before the Finals Jury, which consists of:

Christopher Elton (United Kingdom)
Marc-André Hamelin (Canada)
Joseph Kalichstein (Israel/United States)
Mari Kodama (Japan)

Alexander Toradze (Georgia/United States)
