Next season to be the last one for conductor Rachev with the Eugene Symphony
The Eugene Register-Guard has reported that the 2016-2017 will be the final one for conductor Danail Rachev with the Eugene Symphony. Rachev is in the second contract with the orchestra, and it expires in June of 2017. According to the Executive Director Scott Freck Rachev's exit is pretty standard for the orchestra, because the three previous conductors - Giancarlo Guerrero, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, and Marin Alsop - stayed for six or seven years before moving on.
